Jewish Youth for Community Action

Jewish Youth for Community Action (JYCA) engages Jewish youth in movements for social justice by creating a joyous, multiracial community where young people develop innovative leadership and organizing skills, facilitate socio-political learning, and run action campaigns.

 We center youth in all aspects of our organization— youth hire staff, facilitate our programs, organize our campaigns, and work with us. Our organization is built and run in collaboration with the youth in the program and the supporting adults in our community.

We’ve been around for 26 (or 27) years and honor the work that’s come before us. Annnd we’re refining our vision and strategy to focus on building youth power through organizing, racial justice and financial sustainability. We’re back in a start-up phase and many of our systems still need to be refined as we grow.
