Community Resources and Services for Children
90-04 161 Street, Suite 801
The mission of our organization is to help individuals with disabilities obtain access to services and opportunities available to non-disabled individuals, to help them live their lives with dignity and respect and to help them achieve full community integration and reach their fullest potential.
Community Resources and Services for Children, Inc. is a not for profit organization founded in 1992 for the purpose of providing Hispanic parents of developmentally disabled children with assistance and support in their native language in an effort to fill the gaps between these families and available services.
In 1994, CRSC became a multi-lingual, multi-cultural organization.
In 1996, CRSC began to provide a wide range of direct services to children and youngsters of different ethnic backgrounds. Supportive services continued to be provided to family members and caregivers.
Today, CRSC provides non-direct services to over 400 families within the boroughs of Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan. There are over 200 children young adults and adults who are currently receiving direct care services.
Our Board of Directors is composed of parents of developmentally disabled individuals, family members and other caring professionals who unconditionally volunteer their time.
