About Us

Dexter Southfield currently offers about 800 boys and girls from preschool through Class 12 a classical education on one campus. Dexter School, established in 1926, and Southfield School, established in 1992, and now named Dexter Southfield School, are two separate single sex programs, sharing administrators, faculty and a wealth of academic and athletic facilities, including an astronomy observatory and science center facilities on their 36 acre Brookline campus. Their seven summer programs attract 1000 campers each summer.

Our School Mission Statement

Dexter Southfield School helps boys and girls develop their individual talents and build an ethical foundation for life. Through a classical education and single-sex programs, students learn to lead with confidence and serve with compassion, living by the motto, "Our Best Today, Better Tomorrow."
