  • About Us

The Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN) Pittsburgh chapter is reaching out to you to let you know about some of our youth programs. GLSEN Pittsburgh works to create safe school environments for K-12 students. We believe that a safe and welcoming school environment is essential for learning and healthy development, and that the uniqueness of each student must be valued. Research shows that young people are most likely to be bullied based on their perceived or actual sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. Therefore, our work emphasizes but extends beyond issues affecting LGBTQ students, demonstrating concern for the safety and well-being of all students.

Please feel free to contact us for more information at info@glsenpgh.org or visit our website: www.glsenpgh.org.
