    We are the Harrisburg West Shore affiliate of the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program. Our mission is to prepare taxes for low and moderate income taxpayers, with special attention to those over age 50. We have over 35,000 volunteers who help over 2.6 million taxpayers file their federal and state taxes at more than 5,000 AARP Tax-Aide sites nationwide.

    About Us

    The Harrisburg West Shore AARP Tax-Aide program is looking for volunteers for the upcoming tax season. We serve clients at several locations including Camp Hill, Enola and Mechanicsburg. Tax-Aide offers free tax preparation and filing help to taxpayers with low and middle income, especially those 50 and older.

    Tax-Aide volunteers receive training and support in a welcoming environment. Every level of tax experience is welcome. Training WILL be provided. You DO NOT need to be a tax expert in order to volunteer. Volunteer tax preparers receive IRS certification by passing exams.

    Training begins the second week of January 2024. Our tax preparation season will begin in early February and continue through mid-April. If you are interested in learning more about this volunteer opportunity, please contact Judy at jnhtaxaide@gmail.com.
