Mission
The mission of Fermilab Natural Areas is to restore, manage, and conserve Fermilab's natural areas in support of our science mission, and to encourage Fermilab's neighbors to experience and enjoy Fermilab's natural beauty.
About Us
Our volunteers cut invasive species in the woodlands in winter/spring, and work in the prairies in summer/fall. removing invasive species and collecting seeds from native plants. We have public workdays every Monday afternoon from 1-3 and the second Saturday of every month, from 9-11. Everybody is welcome, no experience necessary.
