STEM GARDEN INSTITUTE INC

  • Mission

The STEM Garden Institute’s mission is to deliver STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) curriculum and innovation based learning to students (K-12) through a sustainable platform of hydroponic gardening. The STEM Garden Institute will work with educational institutions and nonprofits to deliver and implement a customized solution that is woven into their community fabric with the goal of improving America's global ranking of STEM graduates.

    About Us

    • Students in the program (grades K-12) build their own effective, low-cost, gardening systems while studying botany, photosynthesis, water purification, solar energy, soil chemistry, and other topics.
    • Students cultivate and tend their plants, collect, analyze, and upload their data for peer review and discussions in mentored online chat rooms. They market and sell their products to local stores and food banks, with the proceeds of the sales returned to the school’s hydroponic project. The result is a sustainable program for locally sourced, affordable fresh produce and other products - enhanced with unique opportunities for service learning and community engagement.
