At Fundación Diskoncept, we regenerate environmental and social connections through transformative experiences. Our key initiatives include ocean and land cleanups, the integration of ancestral practices in collaboration with the indigenous peoples of the Tayrona National Park , environmental education workshops, community awareness through artistic expressions, tree planting, community cinema, hiking activities, and territorial recognition. Through these efforts, we aim to foster a deeper connection between people and nature, promoting sustainable and conscious living.
Fundación Diskoncept is a nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental and social activism in Taganga, Santa Marta, Colombia. For over fifteen years, we have worked to reduce the environmental impact of solid waste on marine and terrestrial ecosystems while promoting sustainable tourism and community development.
Our initiatives include educational programs, coral and fish characterization, green economy training, and creative environmental awareness activities. By integrating the ancestral knowledge of the indigenous communities of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, we offer a unique and holistic approach to sustainability.
Fundación Diskoncept has received international recognition, including third place in the 2020 Latin America Green Awards, competing among 2,540 environmental projects across Latin America and the United States. Since 2018, we have been the local leaders of the global movement Let’s Do It World, uniting communities worldwide in environmental action.
We believe in the power of volunteering and collaboration to drive meaningful change. By welcoming both local and international volunteers, we create opportunities for people to actively engage in conservation efforts, sustainable development, and environmental education while experiencing the rich culture and biodiversity of Taganga. In the past year, have hosted several volunteering projects with " WeCollab" organization.
