  • About Us

Since its founding in 1980 the Harlem Business Alliance has been a force of advocacy for the development and empowerment of Harlem’s small business community. HBA offers free one-on-one counseling services to aspiring entrepreneurs maneuvering through the start-up phase as well as to established small business owners. Our hands-on technical assistance provides guidance in developing business and marketing plans; helping to connect clients with financing alternatives, and assisting with various aspects of starting and operating a successful business. Through cutting edge small business workshops and forums, HBA provides opportunities to enhance skills in such areas as business management, information technology and marketing strategy development. We also afford networking opportunities to participants for linking resources and sharing knowledge.

At the forefront of recognizing the need to provide deeper levels of support to local entrepreneurs, HBA built out the 1,700 square foot Creative Workspace where they could consult with subject matter experts and/or rent space in its co-working environment. Creative Workspace features state of the art technology and Verizon FiOS.
