Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Central Virginia Affiliate

The Komen Central Virginia Affiliate is a volunteer driven organization dedicated to furthering our mission and reaching out into the community making a difference in the fight against breast cancer. As Komen Central Virginia and the Central Virginia Race for the Cure continue to grow - so does year round involvement in the community. This means that more volunteers are needed to manage, organize and lead our race committees, our new programs, and our long range planning efforts. We credit our success to the many outstanding volunteers who share their energy, ideas, talents and enthusiasm. Komen Central Virginia offers hundreds of volunteer opportunities each year, from handing out water at the Race for the Cure, to becoming a community spokesperson on the importance of early detection.
