    About Us

A Second Wish By Demetrius, Inc. is a community-based nonprofit organization founded in 2008 in memory of Demetrius, with a mission to create unforgettable Second Wish experiences for children facing life-threatening illnesses. Beginning in 2015, the organization expanded its work to grant Second Wishes—providing renewed hope, twice the joy, and lasting memories for children and their families during some of their most challenging moments.

In addition to Second Wishes, A Second Wish By Demetrius is committed to serving the local Tampa Bay community through programs and partnerships that support children and families overcoming health and life challenges. In 2020, the organization opened a community outlet store to provide affordable clothing and household goods to families in need.

A Second Wish By Demetrius has proudly partnered with organizations such as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Legends Hospitality at Raymond James Stadium for multiple seasons, helping to support its mission and programs through community engagement and fundraising initiatives.

Through its work, A Second Wish By Demetrius continues to focus on restoring hope, strengthening families, and creating moments of joy that make a lasting difference.
