About Us
WHAT WE DO
Florida Justice Center is a nonprofit legal aid and reentry organization. It is the first and only legal aid organization authorized by the Florida Supreme Court to provide criminal legal assistance. Our mission is to reduce the number of incarcerated people in Florida through legal and social services.
LEGAL SERVICES
- Representation for technical probation violations and early termination of probation
- Driver license reinstatement
- Arrest record sealing and expungement
- Lowering of fines/fees/restitution
- Limited post-conviction assistance with appeals
- Legal clinics in underserved neighborhoods
REENTRY SERVICES
- Pre- and post-release reentry counseling
- Intake, assessment, and referral to appropriate social services
- Assistance obtaining identity documents
- Creating and implementing plans for those with technical probation violations to build a better life and avoid reincarceration.
