Downtown Streets Team Redwood City

Our Teams restore dignity, hope, and purpose to the lives of folks who are experiencing or at risk for homelessness while challenging perceptions of homelessness in their community.

Team Members volunteer their time to help beautify their community, and in exchange for their work they receive employment specialist and case management services to help them meet their goals, as well as a non-cash stipend to help them cover basic needs as they get back on their feet.

We believe that the dignity our Teams provide is a powerful tool to motivate Team Members to be a part of their own solution. In the words of one of our Team Members, DST is a win-win-win situation: it's a win for the Team Member, a win for the community, and a win for the environment.
