  • Mission

Empowering rural communities in Africa to provide their own people with high quality basic health care, effective public health initiatives, microfinance and support for vulnerable children. We have a special love for children, whom we see not as a burden, but as part of a brilliant future for Africa.

    About Us

    OUR WORK

At the heart of our work, we support local staff in raising up their own communities, working in close partnership with committed international volunteers and our US leadership team. Lalmba has established health clinics in areas where government or private health services are not available, and these sites are run by local medical staff, pharmacists, laboratory technicians, health educators and administrative support. Lalmba also assists school children in the communities around our clinics through our Reaching Children at Risk (RCAR) program, which offers food, school supplies, medical care and tuition help.

    OUR GROWTH

We are committed to the training and education of our local staff, to help them achieve the vision they have for their communities- their families, friends and neighbors. In support of this vision, Lalmba invites qualified international volunteers with medical training or other relevant experience to help with our medical clinics, public health programs, children’s projects and staff development activities. Some volunteer opportunities require a commitment of a few months or longer, and our volunteers make a lifetime of difference.
