    NYfA is a growing community of professionals in the greater New York City area who seek to support Acumen Fund's mission to create a world beyond poverty by investing in social enterprises, emerging leaders, and breakthrough ideas.

    NYfA’s mission is to build a community of passionate supporters by hosting a series of educational and fundraising events that raise awareness about Acumen Fund and social entrepreneurship. Since 2009, NYfA has raised over $75,000 for Acumen.

    Acumen Fund is a non-profit venture fund that uses entrepreneurial approaches to solve the problems of global poverty. It was founded in 2001 by Jacqueline Novogratz, author of The Blue Sweater.
