About Us
ATD Fourth World is an NGO of people of different social, religious, and ethnic backgrounds dedicated to eradicating persistent poverty through: grass-roots activities with people and communities in poverty; research into poverty undertaken with poor families; public information campaigns, advocacy, and forums for representation and dialogue. Our approach emphasizes human and civil rights for all, with partnership being the means to advance as a society. Projects in over 25 countries focus on learning from the experiences of those in poverty, building on their strengths, and providing opportunities to represent their own interests and educate others about the kinds of support needed to eradicate poverty.
