About Us

Bit by Bit is Northeast Oklahoma's premier therapeutic riding program. Started in 1997 by Linda Barron on the campus of Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma, Bit by Bit began as a way to make a difference in the lives of individuals with special needs through the use of equine assisted therapy. Over the years the program has relocated to Oologah, Oklahoma, expanded to serve 75 students, and partnered with the Oologah-Talala public school system to offer therapeutic riding lessons to children and adults with special needs, as well as at-risk youth. One thing hasn't changed: the commitment to making a difference in our participant's lives. This is made possible thanks to over 60 volunteers, a dozen horses and generous support from donors. Together we can make strides for those with special needs!
