United Way of Tri-County
The United Way of Tri-County is a community building organization that brings people together to care for one another. We raise funds, connect volunteers, strengthen agencies, teach social responsibility, and meet the critical needs of the community with the help of people like you.
The United Way understands that you want to make an impact in your community. Our 75 years of experience also tells us it takes a whole community working together to have lasting impact. That’s why we’re connected to all of our communities through business, government, faith groups, schools, agencies, and ordinary citizens. That way your donation not only goes further, it goes where it’s needed most.
Using a system unique to United Way, volunteers who live and work in each of our 34 communities annually decide where funds are invested. Certified Partner Agencies submit requests for special program funding such as after school programs, affordable day care, job training, transportation for the elderly, and even basic needs like food and shelter. This Citizen Review Process ensures your contributions are invested in programs that meet the critical needs of our communities.
We also run services that are critical to our community. From food pantries giving groceries to families in need, hosting guests at community cafe's, training youth social entrepreneurs, connecting non-profits and those they serve with products through a distribution wharehouse, and directing MASS 2-1-1, a statewide information and referal system ensuring individuals and families have easy access to services and emergency information in a crisis.
We invite you to be part of the change. Together, united, we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow.
That's what it means to LIVE UNITED.
