    The Lava Lake Foundation works to achieve long-term landscape-scale conservation within the Pioneer-Boulder Mountains/Craters region and aims to: 1. Maintain the wild undeveloped nature of the Pioneer Mountains/Craters of the Moon landscape. 2. Sustain and restore healthy wildlife populations and habitat with a particular emphasis on wide-ranging and sensitive species. 3. Build an enduring public awareness of the significance of the landscape and a base of support for conservation in the region.
