  • Mission

NHS creates opportunities for people to live in affordable homes, improve their lives and strengthen their neighborhoods. We do this by: -Educating and preparing new homeowners for success -Lending to help people buy, fix and keep their homes -Sustaining home ownership through foreclosure prevention services -Preserving, rehabbing and investing in housing -Building powerful and enduring community partnerships

    About Us

NeighborWorks Day provides initiatives that revitalize neighborhoods. Neighborhood Housing Services is expanding its community partnership and demonstrating the impact of collective efforts by bringing volunteers together to gut buildings for rehab, create community gardens, paint homes, clean vacant lots, landscape and offer community safety programs.

Take this opportunity to work side by side with corporate, government and neighborhood volunteers. The results have both short and long-term value. Some projects extend the NHS presence onto a block for the first time and introduce residents to NHS community revitalization initiatives. Others bring resources and support to rid a neighborhood of problematic vacant lots and abandoned houses.
