Sponsor a Gambian Girl (SaGG) is a non-profit organization that seeks to sustainably empower girls and women in The Gambia through education. Convinced that a better future is built and maintained through education, and conscious of the fact that millions of girls around the world lack basic support to access quality education, SaGG intends to focus its intervention on linking schoolgirls in The Gambia with potential sponsors in the United Kingdom, Germany, and other countries.

SaGG is looking for sponsors who are interested in contributing to the empowerment of girls and women in The Gambia for the ultimate eradication of their poverty. By sponsoring a girl from £10 month, you will enable her to access education in The Gambia, and build a better future for herself and her family.

OUR MISSION

To realise a Gambia where every girl is given equal access to education to reach their full potential.

• Promote a society where girls’ education would not be a debate or an option but an automatic given right by placing a value on educating girls.
• Help pair up deprived and underprivileged girls with sponsors so they have the opportunity to be educated. This, in turn, will help to break the cycle of harmful cultural practices, gender-based violence, and abuse. Leaving a lasting positive change to their lives, communities, and the world at large.
• Advocate for support in The Gambia and at an international level to facilitate progressive policies for girls’ education.
