StopWatch

StopWatch is a coalition of academics, activists, young people and lawyers that works to promote effective, accountable and fair policing whilst informing the public about the use of stop and search. We are active in developing and sharing research on stop and search and providing legal support in challenging stop and search on behalf of those impacted.

The Stopwatch Youth Group and Y-Stop are vital parts of the StopWatch coalition having completed several impactful projects and contributing to significant StopWatch advocacy efforts. StopWatch would like to expand their capacity to educate and inform communities affected by the stop and search practices and the work of the coalition. This post will focus on recruiting a new generation of young people to join StopWatch’s Youth Group and supporting the existing members to expand the outreach and awareness advocacy activities.
