The Turnabout Shop is a small, "boutique" thrift store, staffed entirely by volunteers who perform the following: culling and pricing donations, placing priced items on the floor, straightening and decorating the shop, operating the cash register, assisting customers and donors, and doing anything else that comes up in the course of the day. All volunteers must join the Berkeley Clinic Auxiliary (BCA), which is the organization that operates the Turnabout (the membership dues are $20 annually). Volunteers also have the option to serve on the Board of the BCA, which meets bi-monthly to discuss any issues that arise pertaining to the shop and to determine a course of action by a majority vote. There is a luncheon 4 times a year, where members can enjoy dining, socializing and hearing news about the shop. If you are a people person you will like being a part of this interesting and fun-loving group, and if you're a "thrift store junkie" you will love working at the Turnabout!
