Sugar Mutts Rescue

Sugar Mutts Rescue is an independent, foster-based, animal rescue organization based in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We do direct rescue from Animal Care & Control of New York where thousands of adoptable dogs and cats are unnecessarily euthanized every year due to space and funding restraints. We promote education and discourage the ignorance surrounding such breeds as the American Pit Bull Terrier and the American Staffordshire Terrier. We work jointly with Loving Hands Animal Hospital in Manhattan in order to treat and rehabilitate dogs in need. Our goal is to rescue as many companion animals as possible and find them permanent, loving homes. We are currently in the process of filling for our 5013C, non-profit status.
