  • Mission

    The Community Reporter provides a nonprofit community newspaper and website to the West End and other areas of St. Paul, Minnesota. Our mission is to bring information and knowledge of the many aspects of the community to the fore, including arts and culture, business development, community development, agency and nonprofit activities, profiles of individuals who bring their abilities and passion to building connections, and in-depth coverage of major initiatives by government, business or other agencies, which promise to affect the lives and resources of our community significantly.

    About Us

    Governed by a ten-person baord of community volunteers, a monthly hard copy newpaper is created and distributed free to all homes in the catchment area. An associated website allows the issues to be read on line and provides more that ten years of archived newspaper. All previous editions are on microfiche at the Minnesota History Center library.

    Revenues consist of advertising, occasional donations and occasional local grants.

    Contracted staff include editor, layout, ad sales. omunity volunteers and agencies provide a good deal of content for each issue.
