  • About Us

    Mission and Organizational Goal

The Foodbank’s mission is to provide highly nutritional food to the community's hungry citizens and to ensure that no individual goes hungry, not even for a single day. The Foodbank’s primary goal is to prevent and alleviate the damage persistent hunger inflicts on children, families, and seniors by fulfilling the basic human right and need for highly nutritional food.

    Brief History

The Foodbank was founded in 1975 to provide food to impoverished people residing in Los Angeles County. For 46 years we have provided the safety net for sustaining the health and well-being of the economically disadvantaged, especially those in crisis.
