Operation Kenya Kids Inc.

  • About Us

Operation Kenya Kids,Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Federal Non-profit organization founded by two senior citizens after visiting Kenya in 2011, and having a man ask for pens,"because my

children have no pens to write with in school". We now ship pens and school supplies to seven primary schools in Kenya on a monthly basis. OKK has connected with New Eyes For The Needy, which provided 1,000 pairs of children and adult eye glasses for us to ship. OKK has connected with Clean The World, which donated 300 pounds of repurposed soap, shampoo, and body lotion. OKK has connected with Empower Women In Africa, which creates homemade cloth washable reusable sanitary pads, so that girls will not need to miss a week of school each month. Additional corporate donors are: BIC Graphics USA,(Pens), Tampa Bay Lightning,(Pencils), Play It Again Sports,(athletic equipment), ASO Medical Supplies,(First Aid). OKK in partnership with Empower Women In Africa, has helped to kick-start two cottage industries in Kenya, to make more cloth washable reusable sanitary pads for local distribution. Our schools are spread out across Kenya from Nairobi, and Narock, to the shores of Lake Victoria, Mbita and Majiiwa. Most of these children are either infected by HIV/AIDS, or have been orphaned by the disease, have no adult family, and suffer from abject poverty.
