Campus Kitchens Project at Marquette
Mission
The mission of The Campus Kitchens Project is to use service as a tool to:
Strengthen Bodies by using existing resources to meet hunger and nutritional needs in our community;
Empower Minds by providing leadership and service learning opportunities to students, and educational benefits to adults, seniors, children and families in need; and
Build Communities by fostering a new generation of community-minded adults through resourceful and mutually beneficial partnerships among students, social service agencies, businesses and schools.
About Us
The Campus Kitchens at Marquette is student powered food recovery and hunger relief. Our primary goal is to utilize unused resources on campus to provide nutritious meals free of charge to our non-profit partners in the community. Additionally, CKMU has several Beyond the Meals Programs, including nutrition education and gardening. Service opportunities available in meal prep (on campus in O'Donnell Hall), delivery (transportation usually provided starting from our space in O'Donnell Hall), food recovery and Beyond the Meal.
