    About Us

Free Ride is also focused on education, be it on volunteer nights or open shop nights. We don't fix people's bikes for them, we teach people how to fix their own bikes. Volunteers are taught how to repair bikes donated to the coop, and these bikes are sold to cover operating expenses. Volunteers earn $15 in shop credit per hour worked that can be used to purchase used bike parts. Kids bikes are generally free, as are helmets.

We are located in the East End of Pittsburgh, serving the city. Our shop is open to adults and youth who are accompanied by an adult.
