Bucks County SPCA

  • About Us

The Bucks County SPCA assists animals in need and prevents suffering through rescue, re-homing and reaching out. Since 1912, we have been working to ensure the humane treatment of animals in Bucks County. We care for thousands of animals each year at our two open-admission, no-time-limit animal shelters in Lahaska and Quakertown. Our core services include pet adoption, lost and found pet assistance, humane education programs for children, community outreach and animal cruelty investigation and prosecution. We also offer temporary assistance to pet owners in crisis to help keep animals in their homes and out of the shelter. We are an independent locally-supported nonprofit, not part of a national organization or county government. Our team includes 30 professional staff and more than 150 dedicated volunteers.
