  • About Us

The mission of the Michigan Prisoner ReEntry Initiative (MPRI) is to reduce crime by implementing a seamless plan of services and supervision developed with each offender - delivered through state and local collaboration - from the time of their entry to prison through their transition, reintegration, and aftercare in the community. In Washtenaw County, we have one of the highest recidivism rates - 76% compared to the state-wide 43%- and we are partnered with social service agencies, local law enforcement, faith-based congregations, elected officials, and community members, to reach our goal of reducing our county's rate by 10% in this first fiscal year.
