About Us

The Larz Anderson Auto Museum is home to "America’s oldest car collection." For over 75 years the Larz Anderson Auto Museum has been supporting the community through a variety of educational programs, exhibits, and lectures.

Larz Anderson Auto Museum has been an essential part of Brookline’s cultural community since the Andersons first opened the doors of their carriage house in the late 1800s to share their collection of exquisite cars. In addition to our current exhibit of unrestored racecars, "Patina, Provenance & Originality", and the permanent collection at the museum, LAAM offers an exciting array of programming for children, youth, adults, and seniors. Some of the programs which we offer include lawn events, a walking tour, children’s activities, program for Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, a lecture series, the RACEMAKER Docent program, MotorMouth, and programs in collaboration with the Brookline Public Library, ARTZ for Alzheimer’s and the Brookline Center for Adult Education. LAAM is known nationally for its car shows, including events such as Tutto Italiano, Micro Mini Day, and European Motorcycle Day.
