About Us

The Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness, incorporated in 2010, is a community of students, researchers, and practitioners committed to advancing research relevant to practice, from early childhood through post-secondary education. The Society publishes the Journal of Research on Educational Effectiveness (JREE), holds an annual research conference, and offers professional development and networking opportunities throughout the year. The Society also provides resources to advance research relevant to practice, from early childhood through the transition to higher and continuing education, including a video library and the Registry of Efficacy and Effectiveness Studies.  

The Society currently has about 650 individual members, primarily located in the United States, and 16 institutional members. The organization is led by a Board of 15 individuals from academia, research firms, and educational philanthropy.
