Bridges of Sports Foundation

We are a not for profit organisation based in India, dedicated towards upliftment of Siddi community. Siddis are an Indo-African community who were brought to India as slaves almost 400 years ago. Though they have been living in India for many centuries they still face social exclusion and racism. Our work has been recognised by various media outlets including The BBC and Economic times. We are providing sports training to children from Siddi community giving them complete support including on their education, nutrition, accommodation, living expenses, medical support and training gear . Our mission is to use sports excellence (national and international representation) to bring light to the social and economic struggles of their community. Our centre is based in Mundgod, Uttara Kannada District, India.

Our senior athletes are few of the first members of the community/village to pursue their graduation and representing their state at national championships.
