Recurrent Meningitis Association

  • About Us

The Recurrent Meningitis Association (RMA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that seeks to make an impact within the lives of those with recurrent meningitis. A special focus of our organization is recurrent viral meningitis, for which there is little research as well as physician awareness.  We hope to make an impact by advocating for patients, allowing for peer support, and by actively promoting and engaging in research.

The number of those affected by recurrent meningitis worldwide is relatively unknown, a fact that RMA wishes to change. Those affected by recurrent meningitis will experience meningitis, sometimes requiring hospitalization, many times throughout their lives.

Our organization was founded and is run primarily by those affected by recurrent meningitis.
