  • Mission

To design, build, and maintain a world-class park for all of Acadiana.

    About Us

Moncus Park is a supporter-funded nonprofit dedicated to developing and maintaining these 100-acres of greenspace, showcasing the cultures and talents of Acadiana, uniting communities through celebration, and creating traditions together. Today, Moncus Park is not just a park-it’s a tourist attraction and economic generator with an impact on the fiscal, social, economic, environmental, cultural, physical, and mental health of Acadiana and its residents. In fact, support from individuals like you is the primary funding source of our work. That means you have a direct impact on Moncus Park’s upkeep and the community we serve when you support and visit the Park. From cultivating native landscapes and disposing of trash to planning and hosting community programs, we’re tasked with handling every detail of the Park’s care - and none of it would be possible without your support. Your donations, membership, volunteer efforts, parking revenue, and stewardship allow this quintessential greenspace to thrive.
