  • About Us

    Math for America DC (MfA DC) Fellowship Program launched by Carnegie Institution for Science has a mission to improve math education in secondary public schools in Washington, DC. We recruit recent college graduates and mid-career professionals who demonstrate mathematical talent and a strong commitment to service in DC, and are new to the teaching profession. Fellows commit to a 5-year program: during 1st year our fellows receive a scholarship to participate in a Master's Degree program at America University and $22,000 stipend; during 4-teaching years, fellows receive $12,500 supplementary stipends and extensive professional development support. Eligibility: degree in math or math related field (applicants must have at least 18 math credits at or above single-variable differential and integral calculus), US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. We do not offer Internships.
