Exceptional Care for Children

Exceptional Care for Children improves the lives of technology-dependent children and their families through skilled nursing, transitional, and palliative care. We are a haven for healing fragile bodies when improvement is possible, and a refuge for nurturing vulnerable spirits when a cure is unattainable.

Exceptional Care for Children is Delaware’s first and only non-profit pediatric skilled nursing home, providing transitional, long-term, and end of life or palliative care to children who are all medically fragile and dependent on technology for survival. Our goal is to provide them a home-like enviroment, outside of the hospital, where they can experience life as a kid despite their medical challenges.
