Water For People is a Denver-based international non-profit that envisions a world where every person has access to reliable and safe water, sanitation, and hygiene services. Water For People promotes the development of high-quality drinking water and sanitation services, accessible to all, and sustained by strong communities, businesses, and governments. They connect and organize local entrepreneurs, civil society, governments, and communities to establish creative and collaborative solutions that allow people to build and maintain their own reliable safe water systems. Water For People works in nine countries across Latin America, East Africa and Asia. Rocky Mountain Water Environment Association (RMWEA) believed in our vision and has generously provided ThirstyFest with the seed money we needed to get off the ground. It was founded in 1936 as the Rocky Mountain Sewage Works Association, and since that time has provided its members with the most current information on water quality issues, technology, regulatory changes, and the latest research developments. RMWEA is a Member Association of the Water Environment Federation, (WEF) an international organization with over 40,000 members worldwide. Our association functions through a committee structure.
