About Us

Overview

Bullis Charter School (BCS) is a K-8 public school that offers a collaborative, experiential learning environment that emphasizes individual student growth. By focusing on educating the whole child, providing a robust visual and performing arts program, and integrating science and technology in new ways, BCS aims to spark a lifelong love of learning in its students. The school currently enrolls approximately 1,100 students across two campuses in Los Altos, CA.

The Bullis-Purissima Elementary School Foundation (aka BCS Foundation) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization independent from BCS that provides critical financial support to the school’s education programs. The BCS Foundation is managed by a board of volunteers, predominately parents of currently enrolled students, who make personal contributions and solicit contributions from their peers. Their main fundraising activities include an Annual Campaign which runs from September-January, and a spring dinner and auction benefit event. The BCS Foundation raises and contributes approximately 30% of BCS’s operating budget – around $5 million annually.
