    Our mission is to assist older Tennesseans and adults with disabilities in Northeast Tennessee with information and services that promote quality of life and independence.

    About Us

    FTAAAD is part of a nationwide system of agencies which were created as a result of the 1973 amendments to the Older Americans Act of 1965.

    The FTAAAD service area includes Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi and Washington counties.

    FTAAAD offers more than dozens of programs and services that are funded through state, federal or grant-based funds. All are free of charge if relevant eligibility requirements are met. Programs include caregiver support, elder abuse awareness, evidence-based wellness classes, information & assistance phone line, legal services, nutrition services, TennCare/CHOICES and Options in-home services, public guardianship, SNAP application assistance and Medicare assistance, plus many more.
