  • About Us

The mission of the HEB Laboratory is to translate psychological science into action. We focus especially on emotional skills and competencies, health cognition and health behavior relevant to cancer and HIV/AIDS prevention, and the interactions among these areas of study. Members of the HEB Laboratory conduct both laboratory and field experiments in which we strive to advance theory in the behavioral sciences while partnering with community members and organizations to address significant social problems. As a research laboratory in an educational setting, we are committed, as well, to training the next generation of translational research scientists.
