Wilderness Volunteers

  • Mission

Our mission is to engage people in meaningful service that conserves and protects America’s wild places.

    About Us

Each year, our organization hosts 35-40 week-long stewardship projects across the U.S. in partnership with public land agencies like the National Forest Service, the National Park Service, and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. We send out a group of 10-12 volunteers to work on a variety of projects from trail maintenance, campsite rehabilitation, erosion control, and removal of invasive species

All costs are covered, including food, with the exception of transportation to the project. Suitable for individuals or groups.

Check out our full lists of projects for the 2023 project season at the following link: wildernessvolunteers.org/projects.
