About Us

CLAM creates affordable homes for the local workforce in the rural areas surrounding Tomales Bay, California. Started as a grassroots organization in 2001, CLAM has created homes for four families and three singles - and is growing with new projects. With a strong commitment to enviornmental sustainability, CLAM built California's first affordable Passive House in 2010, and has high energy efficient standards in its other properties. CLAM is comprised of a strongly engaged and skilled Board, a small and passionate staff, and huge team of community supporters. Expertise or strong interest in real estate and asset management, fundraising, housing policy and economic research, events coordination and membership development is always welcomed.

As a community land trust, every project of CLAM is made to be permanently affordable - an asset for any individual, and for the future of the communtiy. We are a member of the National Community Land Trust Network.
