Bridging the Gap Africa

Bridging the Gap Africa is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building pedestrian footbridges in rural Kenya. Our mission is to build safe and reliable pedestrian footbridges that prevent accidental drownings and ensure uninterrupted access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities for rural communities.

We serve the walking world in Kenya. In many rural areas of Kenya, communities are separated by rivers that can become impassable during the rainy season. Our three core values are Safety, Access, and Empowerment. We involve local communities in the bridge-building process, giving them ownership in addition to the benefits of safe and reliable access to key resources.
