Appalachian Trail Conservancy's Konnarock Crew

About Us

Hello! The Appalachian Trail Conservancy's (ATC) Konnarock Crew program is a great opportunity for first time volunteers or experienced crew members to gain experience with trail maintenance, construction, spend time outdoors and the possibility to travel to different parts of the Appalachian Trail. The Konnarock crews work on the Appalachian Trail from Rockfish Gap, VA to the trail's Southern terminus at Springer Mountain in GA. This experience includes a five day long trip with food, tools, equipment, room and board provided at no cost as well as spending two nights at our base camp in Sugar Grove, VA with delicious home - cooked meals. There are multiple Konnarock Crew volunteer trips to choose from that are 5 day trips beginning April 27th - August 3rd. This is a great chance for an adventurous trip to get down and dirty in order to help protect and maintain the Appalachian Trail! If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at crews@appalachiantrail.org or kherndon@appalachiantrail.org.
