People Helping People Transition from Incarceration to the Community
Community Circles of Support utilizes volunteers to meet weeky in group meetings to offer pro-social support to men and women recently released from prison. Volunteers listen, encourage, cheerlead, build rapport, identify barriers to success, and make connections for the participant in the community. Participants voluntarily attend the Circle meetings. The goal of Circles is to reduce recidivism and make our communities safer. Circles works in Manitowoc, Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, the Fox Valley, and Green Bay, Wisconsin.
