Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

    About Us

    The Salvation Army is an international agency historically recognized as an unconventional organization that successfully addressess social ills such as hunger, homelessness and poverty. It was founded in 1865 in London, England by William Booth. The Salvation Army expanded to the United States in March 10, 1880.

    The efforts of The Salvation Army in Licking County is service oriented ---committed to assisting those who, because of emergencies or negative circumstances, are unable to care for themselves or who are not eligible for care at other publicly funded service agencies.

    Services provided by The Salvation Army include: emergency food, soup kitchen, summer nutritional meals, rent and utility assistance, clothing and furniture assistance and emergency shelter.
