P2V provides two formal programmatic options: P2V Matches, our adoption program, and P2V Connections, our animal-wounded warrior socialization and visitation program. Service is currently limited to active duty military personnel, veterans and emergency first responders, or spouses and survived. Special considerations will be made for other family members, next of kin and companions on a case by case basis. We currently operate in the Washington, D.C. and New York City metro area, working with military medical centers, active duty facilities and emergency first responder facilities in the area.
With the support of P2V’s participating shelters and partnership with Banfield Pet Hospital (America’s largest veterinary hospital; 750 locations nationwide), the organization is able to provide the following for those whom adopt through P2V:

Multiple follow-ups and training support that begins the very next day after adoption to a year out for the hero’s new sheltered pet.
