PROJECT INSPARATION is a series of community sponsored Spa Days benefiting the women of local shelters in the Washington Metropolitan area.
Project In-SPA-ration began in May of 2012 and was started by Ashley and Brittney Drakeford. In efforts to honor their mother, the late Sharon Drakeford, the sisters brainstormed service projects they execute in their community. Their idea was to transform the shelter into an oasis of rejuvenation, relaxation, and of course inspiration.
PROJECT INSPARATION evolved from the “beauty nights” that Ashley & Brittney Drakeford shared with their mother. It was their time to work on reconnecting the mind, body and soul. Many women are fortunate enough to be able to de-stress and refocus their energy with time at the spa with friends or at a beauty parlor.
Project In-Spa-ration is an early mother’s day gift and strives to share the “beauty night” experience with others. The day features several workshops including: a mini-manicures, facials, massages, along with health & wellness demonstrations.
